Congressman Connolly: Voter Suppression A-OK
Now, I understand that this was a joke, and I will admit that I have been privy to a few “pray for rain” jokes shortly before an election. However, to clearly make a joke about telling Republicans the wrong date of an election in a speech about voter turnout, particularly in this age of over-litigated elections, is not only in bad taste, but downright moronic. I would argue doubly so for a newly elected congressman in what is still arguably a purple district.
Hopefully Pat Herrity will prove that so on February 3rd.
